Dmitriev said it was impossible for EU bureaucrats to deny their own failures
European bureaucrats can no longer deny their own "catastrophic failures." This was announced on May 10 by Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund.
"European bureaucrats simply cannot deny their catastrophic failures. The reckoning will not be long in coming," he said in a message to X (ex. Twitter).
Thus, he commented on the publication of The Wall Street Journal newspaper, which says that European leaders face great unpopularity due to a weak economy, negative attitudes towards immigration and growing support for populist parties across the continent.
On May 7, Dmitriev drew attention to the fact that the current economic crisis in the EU countries was a direct result of the refusal to supply Russian energy resources. In addition, he predicted a food crisis in the EU and the UK due to Russophobia.
