During his visit to China to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping on May 14-15, US President Donald Trump intends to stabilize relations between the two countries. This was announced on May 10 by the representative of the White House administration, Anna Kelly.

"During this visit, President Trump will continue to do what he has been doing over the past year, rebuilding relations with China," Daily Wire reporter Mary Olohan quoted her as saying in an interview.

Kelly also noted that the head of state is going to pay special attention to restoring the economic independence of the States.

White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said on March 16 that the American leader may postpone a visit to China scheduled for late March or early April due to the ongoing war in Iran. She added that at that time, Trump's main task was "to ensure the success of Operation Epic Fury, which is being conducted in Iran. According to her, the president is doing this "24/7 at the White House, not at home."
