During the day, Ukrainian troops carried out 676 attacks on the positions of Russian units and carried out 6331 drone strikes. This was announced on May 10 by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to the ministry, the attacks were carried out from artillery pieces, multiple rocket launchers, mortars and tanks. The Ministry stressed that the Russian military in the zone of its own continues to strictly observe the truce regime.

The Russian army responded to each violation symmetrically, striking firing points, command posts, and drone launch sites. In the course of retaliatory actions, the Sever group defeated two mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Sumy region, as well as other formations in the territory of the Kharkiv region.

The escalation in response to Moscow's peace initiative confirmed Ukraine's unwillingness to end the conflict, experts believe.

The press service of the Bryansk city administration reported on May 8 that 231 apartments and more than 40 cars were damaged as a result of a drone strike on the city. It was noted that all of them were identified on the territory of Avtozavodets microdistrict. In addition, 11 people were injured, including a four-year-old child.
