In the Sverdlovsk region, a fire broke out in the village of Bisert, residential buildings on an area of 800 square meters are burning. On May 10, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia informed Izvestia.

"In the Sverdlovsk region, firefighters from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations are eliminating a fire in the private sector. A fire in a private one—story apartment building was reported at the address: Bisertsky M.O., Bisert settlement, Sovetskaya St.," the agency clarified.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, at the time of the arrival of firefighters, the fire spread to neighboring buildings. Seven private houses were previously damaged by fire. The total area of the fire is 800 sq. m. More than 60 people and 18 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. The fire has now been contained.

"The rapid spread of the fire was facilitated by dense private sector buildings and strong wind gusts, up to 20 m/s. Currently, there is no information about the victims," the experts added.

The Governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Denis Pasler, keeps the situation with the spread of fire under control. On behalf of the head of the region, a temporary accommodation facility at the Uval hotel has been prepared.

The house of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Colonel-General Dmitry Zherebin, burned down in Sergiev Posad near Moscow. As specified on May 8, there was a memorial plaque in honor of the serviceman in this house. They wanted to preserve this house "with the prospect of making a memorial museum there."
