Novak announced the validity of the oil agreements until the end of 2026
The Russian authorities expect that agreements with oil companies to ensure the stability of the domestic fuel market will remain in place throughout 2026. This was announced on May 9 by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
"They haven't been signed yet, but they're in the process. A government decree has been issued confirming the form of this agreement. The Ministry of Energy is currently working with companies to sign the agreement. We expect that they will [operate] throughout 2026," he said in an interview with reporters.
On the same day, Novak announced that Transneft, which operates main oil pipelines in Russia, plans to pay dividends based on the results of 2025.
