Only people with a low level of intelligence can criticize Victory Day. This was announced on May 9 by Boris Chernyshov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

"Many of those who do this are people with low IQs. They are just idiots," the deputy said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

He noted that it is foolish to criticize the day dedicated to the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War (WWII). According to him, critics should recognize themselves as "defeatists and renegades." In addition, Chernyshov suggested that such people begin any insult to the holiday with the phrase "we are losers, therefore we criticize Victory Day."

A military parade dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held in Moscow on Red Square. It was led by the Commander of the Russian Ground Forces, Army General Andrei Mordvichev, and the parade was hosted by Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov. Parade troops of military educational institutions of all types and branches of the Russian army, participants in the special military operation (SVO) and soldiers of the Korean People's Army (KPA) of the DPRK marched through Red Square. Aerobatic air groups flew over the Kremlin.
