The concert "One Fate— One Victory" in Patriot Park ended with a solemn fireworks display over the Main Temple of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. This was reported on the website of the Russian Ministry of Defense on May 9.
It is specified that the event was held on the square in the park and was timed to coincide with the 81st anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War (WWII).
The production was a synthesis of dramatic art, vocal and choreographic skills, as well as advanced multimedia technologies. To create the effect of continuity of epochs, archival videos and historical chronicles were included in the production. The idea was based on an analysis of the succession of generations, revealed through the prism of significant pages of Russian history: from the events of the Great Patriotic War to the urgent tasks of ensuring national security today.
Famous artists and creative teams took part in the concert. Among them are Ekaterina Guseva, Yaroslav Sumishevsky, Evgeny Knyazev, Anastasia Spiridonova, Victoria Cherentsova, Artem Kaminsky, Egor Bakharev and Igor Kim. The Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army named after A.V. Alexandrov, the Young Patriots Ensemble, the 123 Regiment group, the artists of the Modern Theater, Django, the Moscow Synodal Choir, Domisolka, the Large Concert Orchestra Rossiya named after L.G. Zykina and the Skrepno project also performed on the stage.
The end of the musical and dramatic performance was a festive fireworks over the arches of the Main Temple of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Residents of Ivangorod and Narva, Estonia, waved to each other during a Victory Day concert on May 9. During the performance, presenter Dmitry Guberniev asked the audience to greet the people on the opposite side of the river, after which the participants on both banks began waving to each other.
A minute of silence was held across Russia on May 9 at 18:55 Moscow time in memory of the fallen during the Great Patriotic War. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a minute of silence during the celebrations. In addition, he laid flowers at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Garden of Moscow. He was also joined by foreign guests.
