Residents of Ivangorod and Narva, Estonia, waved to each other during a Victory Day concert. This was reported by RIA Novosti on May 9.

The action "Shores of Victory" takes place at the walls of the Ivangorod fortress on the banks of the Narva River. The program is designed so that it can be seen and heard on both shores — from the Russian and Estonian sides.

During the performance, presenter Dmitry Guberniev asked the audience to greet the people on the opposite side of the river, after which the participants on both banks began waving to each other.

On May 8, the North-Western Customs Administration reported that before the Victory Day holiday, a large number of people from Estonia were recorded at the Ivangorod checkpoint to Russia.

As Alexander Nosovich, a member of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy and the Expert Council under the Committee on International Affairs of the Russian State Duma, noted on May 7, Estonian citizens travel to Narva every year on May 9 to watch a Victory Day concert from the riverbank. Trips to Narva have been going on for many years, since after 2022, Victory Day celebrations in any form were banned in Estonia and other Baltic countries, which is considered anti-state behavior, the deputy noted.
