On May 9, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz promised that a serious conversation would be held in Europe after the return of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico from Moscow.

"We will talk to him about this today in Moscow," he said at a press conference with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson in Stockholm, RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
