A plane killed a man on the runway of an airport in Denver.

A Frontier Airlines plane hit a man on the runway at Denver International Airport, killing the victim and injuring 12 people on board. The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) wrote about this on May 9, citing a statement from airport representatives.

It is reported that around midnight local time, a man jumped over a fence and was almost immediately shot down by an airplane while trying to cross the runway.

He died from his injuries. The victim, presumably, was not an employee of the airport, his identity has not yet been established. According to US Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy, the pilot immediately stopped the movement of the aircraft and informed air traffic controllers about the engine fire.

There were 231 passengers on board. It was decided to evacuate them, taking them to the runway. As a result of the incident, 12 people received minor injuries, five of them were hospitalized.
