Novak noted the interest of Asian countries in the supply of Russian energy resources
Southeast Asian countries are interested in additional supplies of Russian energy resources. On May 9, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told Izvestia correspondent Anton Zolotnitsky.
"Almost all countries are expressing interest in receiving petroleum products, oil, and gas resources from Russia, because Russia is proving itself to be a stable and reliable supplier of energy resources to world markets in the current crisis," Novak said.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Moscow is interested in long-term contracts, and Russian companies are already considering partner applications. Novak also noted cooperation with Laos: trade turnover with this country has almost doubled over the past year, including due to high-value-added machine-building products.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on April 15 that if China or other countries lack resources due to the Middle East conflict, Russia is ready to help fill them. According to him, Moscow has repeatedly reminded about this possibility.
On April 13, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called Russia one of the most reliable energy suppliers in the world. According to him, Russia's role in this regard cannot be overestimated.
