Ushakov: Russia has clearly announced the consequences of Kiev's threats
Russia has clearly brought to the attention of the international community what could follow the criminal terrorist actions of Kiev. This was stated by Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
"Well, you've seen the reaction — we've made it quite clear what could follow Kiev's criminal terrorist actions. So I think that most capitals reacted to this with understanding, I believe," Ushakov said.
According to him, taking into account Russia's warnings, contacts with the Americans intensified, during which it was possible to agree on a truce. As a result, there were no strikes on Red Square, and, accordingly, it was not necessary to launch a massive retaliatory missile strike on Kiev. Ushakov also noted that most capitals were sympathetic to Russia's position.
On the same day, Ushakov said that a pause had been taken in the trilateral negotiations on Ukraine and no agreements had been reached on the next round. He stressed that the Ukrainian side knows what needs to be done in order for the next round of negotiations to be successful.
