In Warsaw, residents laid flowers at the monument to Soviet soldiers
Warsaw residents paid tribute to the memory of the Soviet soldiers who liberated Poland from the Nazi invaders. The footage is published by Izvestia on May 9.
The video shows a lot of flowers that were laid at the monument. There is also a woman with a Russian flag standing near the monument. The monument says: "Eternal glory to the soldiers of the Soviet army who died for the liberation of Poland from the Nazi invaders."
It is also clarified that Ukrainian provocateurs tried to disrupt the laying of flowers.
On the same day, it was reported that residents of the Latvian capital were carrying flowers to the monument to Soviet soldiers located at the Pokrovsky Cemetery in Riga. People lay carnations and other flowers at the foot of the monument, next to which memorial candles are also lit. There is a massive presence of police officers at the scene of the event.
