Russian President Vladimir Putin watched the Victory Day Parade in Moscow on May 9, standing next to World War II veteran Sveta Turunov and Hero of Russia, participant in the special operation Leonid Ryzhkov.

Retired Admiral Turunov participated in the liberation of Poland and Czechoslovakia during the war. During the liberation of one of the Polish cities, a veteran was seriously wounded in both legs and chest.
