Lukashenko took his son Kolya to the Victory Day Parade in Moscow
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko arrived at the Victory Day Parade on Red Square with his son Nikolai. They are sitting on the central podium, from where they watch the parade with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Other foreign guests are also staying there, including the leader of Abkhazia, Badra Gunba, and his wife, the President of Laos, Thonglong Sisulit, and the Supreme Ruler of Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim, the President of South Ossetia, Alan Gagloev, the President of Republika Srpska, Sinisha Karan, the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, the Chairman of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (RS), Nenad Stevandic, and his wife, as well as the chairman of the Union of Independent Social Democrats party, Milorad Dodik, and his wife. Veterans of the Great Patriotic War (WWII) are also in the stands as guests of honor.
The Victory anniversary parade takes place in Moscow on May 9th. The Victory Banner and the flag of Russia were brought to the Red Square. During the solemn event, parade troops of military educational institutions of the Russian Armed Forces will walk along Red Square. In addition, aerobatic flight groups are expected to fly over Red Square.
Putin, who had time to talk with veterans before the start of the event, will speak at the parade. He personally greeted each guest of honor, the eldest of whom, Kirill Semenov, a native of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, will celebrate his 103rd birthday this year. One of the Russian leader's interlocutors handed him an envelope, which he put into the inside pocket of his jacket.
