The media reported on the US export of all uranium reserves from Venezuela
The United States has removed the entire stockpile of enriched uranium from Venezuela. This was reported on May 8 by The Guardian newspaper with reference to the United States Department of Energy.
"13.5 kg of uranium was removed from an outdated research reactor in Venezuela," the article says.
It is specified that we are talking about a research laboratory in the vicinity of Caracas, where it was stored. The nuclear fuel was delivered to the facility of the US Department of Energy in South Carolina, located 15 km from the capital of Venezuela, Caracas.
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported on May 1 that major US oil companies have begun to consider the possibility of resuming operations in Venezuela amid rising oil prices and changes in the country's legislation. Investor interest has increased after a sharp rise in oil prices and reforms aimed at attracting foreign capital. An additional factor was the growth of oil supplies to the United States.
