The West launched a "spiral of self-destruction", rewriting the history of the Second World War (WWII). This was announced on May 9 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"They [the West] have really launched some kind of spiral of self-destruction, I am absolutely sure of it. <...> The fact that they are now undermining the history of WWII <...> is an absolutely self—deprecating and self-destructive thing," the diplomat said in an interview with TASS.
