On May 9, the Directorate of the Federal Security Service (UFSB) of Russia for the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) declassified interrogation protocols from 1944-1947, revealing the system of Nazi Germany's creation of a network of propaganda schools and camps from among Soviet prisoners of war.

The institution, designed to train collaborators, propagandists and other specialists to work in the system of German special services in the USSR, was called the "Sonderlager" (special camp). It was based in the village of Wustrau in Germany and was founded in 1942.

"The purpose of these classes was to promote the idea of creating an independent <...> Ukraine in alliance with Germany against Bolshevism. <...> It was categorically suggested that when meeting with each other, with a senior or with a group of people, in the place of the usual greeting, raising his right hand up, to say: Glory to Ukraine!"— said the interrogated.

The school operated as part of three blocks: Russian, Ukrainian and Caucasian. Russian Russians had six groups of Russian and four groups of Belarusian nationality, while the Ukrainian bloc had nine groups of Ukrainian nationality. The Caucasian bloc included North Caucasian, Georgian, Armenian, Tatar, and Uzbek groups. There were from 16 to 20 people in each group.

Thus, the enemy purposefully created camps and schools for the indoctrination of captured Soviet citizens, prioritizing the incitement of ethnic hatred.

On April 19, the press service of the UFSB for the DPR reported that on the Day of Commemoration of the Victims of the Genocide of the Soviet People, the FSB of Russia declassified the materials of the criminal case of Nazi punisher Gunther Max Muller (aka Oswiter Richard Braungard), who committed crimes in Donbass. As an investigator of the punitive field police team under the 17th Army of the Wehrmacht, Muller took part in the mass extermination of civilians in Stalino (modern Donetsk), Artemovsk, Konstantinovka and other settlements.
