The campaign has been official since 1973, and now Kerch residents have been climbing Mount Mithridates every year for more than 50 years. There is a fire of memory on it. "Despite the fact that the torchlight procession was canceled 6 years ago as an official mass event due to various security measures, Kerch residents still climb Mount Mithridates every eighth of May to preserve this tradition," said one Kerch resident.
