Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic was defeated by Croatian Dino Prismic in the second round of the Masters tournament in Rome on Friday, May 8.

The meeting lasted 2 hours and 15 minutes and ended with a score 2:6, 6:2, 6:4 in favor of the Croatian athlete. Prismich ranks 79th in the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), while Djokovic is the fourth racket in the world.

Djokovic entered the court for the first time since March 2026. Prior to that, the Serbian tennis player was forced to miss three Masters tournaments in a row due to a right shoulder injury.

In the next round of the competition, Dino Prismich will face the winner of the match between Frenchman Hugo Humber and Czech Vit Koprzyva.
