The President of Uzbekistan conveyed greetings to Putin from the citizens of the country

On May 8, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced that the citizens of the country, having learned about the visit of the leader of the state to Moscow, asked him to convey greetings to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"I told many people that I was going to Moscow. They say, "May I say hello to Vladimir Vladimirovich from us?" I am happy to do this," Mirziyoyev said at a meeting with the Russian leader.

He also stressed that bilateral relations between Russia and Uzbekistan are developing dynamically.

At a meeting with Mirziyoyev on May 8, Putin positively characterized the countries' relations in recent years. The Russian President noted that trade between Russia and Uzbekistan is growing and trade and economic ties are developing. According to him, the countries are also implementing major joint projects. He added that Russia remains one of the notable investors in the Uzbek economy.
