Air defense systems shot down two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) heading towards Moscow. This was announced on May 8 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

"The air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense destroyed two UAVs flying to Moscow," the mayor wrote in the Maks messenger.
