Sobyanin announced the destruction of 107 UAVs on the approach to Moscow.

On May 7 and 8, air defense systems destroyed 107 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on approach to Moscow. This was announced on May 8 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

"A drone flying to Moscow has been destroyed," Sobyanin wrote on the Maks messenger.

On May 8, the number of downed drones increased to 46. Sobyanin also clarified that emergency services specialists continue to work at the crash sites.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said on the same day that Russian military personnel had destroyed over 4.3 thousand UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the past week. In addition, air defense systems were able to intercept 44 guided aerial bombs and destroy 18 HIMARS multiple rocket launchers in a specified period of time.
