A Soviet military grave in Vienna's Central Cemetery was desecrated on the eve of Victory Day. The Russian Embassy announced this on May 8.

The diplomatic mission called the desecration of the Soviet burial an act of deliberate abuse. Austria has promised to investigate the desecration of a Soviet burial site in Vienna and restore it to its proper form, the embassy added.
