Rospotrebnadzor specialists are conducting enhanced monitoring of the radiation situation in Russia against the background of a forest fire in the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. This was reported on May 8 in the press service of the department.

"Enhanced monitoring of the radiation situation is being carried out in the Bryansk, Kursk, Belgorod, Voronezh and Rostov regions," the press service said.
