The prosecutor requested eight years in prison for the editor-in-chief of the Dozhd TV channel, Dziadko.

The prosecutor appealed to representatives of the Golovinsky Court of Moscow with a request to sentence in absentia the editor-in-chief of the Dozhd TV channel (recognized as a foreign agent and an undesirable organization in the Russian Federation) Tikhon Dziadko (recognized in the territory of the Russian Federation as a foreign agent) in the form of eight years in a penal colony for evading the duties of a foreign agent. This was announced on Friday, May 8, by one of the participants in the trial.

"The prosecutor is asking the court to find Tikhon Dziadko guilty of the crimes he is charged with and to impose a sentence in absentia of eight years in prison and a fine of 5.9 million rubles," he said in a conversation with TASS.
