The Senat 900 sedan will be produced at the ex-Toyota plant in St. Petersburg.
The production of the Senat 900 car will begin in St. Petersburg. The model has passed certification and received Vehicle Type Approval (OTT), which allows for the production and sale of a car in the Russian Federation, RIA Novosti reported on May 8.
According to the data from the OTS, the length of the sedan is 5.14 m, width — 1.9 m, height — 1.5 m. The car will receive two modifications — with a solid three-seater sofa in the second row or with two separate armchairs. The Senat 900 will be powered by a three-liter V6 gasoline engine with a capacity of 326 hp (450 Nm) and an all-wheel drive system.
It is noted that the recipient of the OTTS is the NWPC joint stock company, and the address of the assembly plant coincides with the address where the plant of the Japanese Toyota concern used to be located.
It was reported in March that the production of cars under the Senat brand at the former Toyota plant in St. Petersburg could be launched in 2026. The new model is planned to be officially presented at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). Toyota has announced that it will cease production of cars at its plant in St. Petersburg in September 2022.
The assembly of prototypes of the updated Senat sedan has begun at the Aurus plant in Yelabuga. As the company said on March 11, engineers and technologists are currently working on the processes of updated technological operations.
