The satellite city of the Zaporizhia NPP Energodar is de-energized
The satellite city of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) Energodar was left without power supply, the causes of the incident are currently being established. This was announced on May 8 by Evgenia Yashina, Director of Communications at ZAES.
"Energodar is de-energized. The reasons are currently being investigated," Yashina said in an interview with TASS.
She later clarified that specialists were already carrying out restoration work. The city's power supply is scheduled to return in 1.5 hours.
The Governor of the Zaporizhia region, Yevgeny Balitsky, announced on April 15 that the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), which the enemy inflicted on the energy infrastructure of the region last night, led to a complete de-energization of the region. He noted that all the services of the Zaporizhia region are on high alert.
