One of the key city roads will be repaired in Murmansk
In Murmansk, workers have started repairing two sections of roads. The roadway from Kolsky Avenue to Marat Street and Khibinsky Lane is being put in order. It is necessary to put in order a section with a length of more than 1 km.
Bi-port news agency, citing Mayor Ivan Lebedev, clarifies that the old fences and the side stone will be removed in these areas. Then it is necessary to mill the old pavement, lay the new foundation and asphalt on it. Sidewalks and road infrastructure will also be put in order.
The mayor named Kolkogo Avenue as one of the main objects of the 2026 road program. Thanks to the renovation, the highway will become more comfortable and safer for drivers and pedestrians.
Earlier it was reported that 118 road facilities will be repaired in the Murmansk Region in 2026. As part of the Infrastructure for Life national project, 13 facilities in Murmansk and sections of eight regional roads will be put in order. Their total length will be 47 km. Work will also take place on four bridges with a total length of over 300 m. Another 2.2 km of roads will be repaired under the renovation program for various roads. The facilities not included in this program and the national project will be repaired within the framework of the strategic plan "To live in the North!".
