The Moscow City Court overturned the decision to ban information on the YAplakal website in Russia. This was reported to Izvestia on May 8 by the court's press service.

"The Judicial Board for Administrative Cases of the Moscow City Court overturned the decision of the court of first instance and adopted a new decision, which denied the claims to the Chertanovsky interdistrict prosecutor," the report says.

As it became known on May 6, the Chertanovsky Court of Moscow banned the distribution of content on the Yaplakal resources. It was clarified that materials containing statements that can be qualified as degrading human dignity, as well as aimed at discrimination and insulting persons on the grounds of nationality and race, were posted on the resource.

However, the next day, Roskomnadzor informed Izvestia that the YAplakal portal was not included in the register of prohibited resources, as there were no indexes of specific pages with violations in the court decision received by the agency. At the moment, the site remains accessible to users.

At that time, it was noted that the regulator was waiting for official clarifications from the judicial authorities to determine the list of addresses to which access should be restricted. If the RCN receives clarifying data, it will decide on further measures regarding the pages of the resource.
