The digital history of Victory on the street screens of the MAER
The MAER media holding provided a record amount of time to support projects dedicated to May 9th. By Victory Day, an information campaign has been launched on the Unified Digital Network, which will reach over 20 million Russians.
Together with the People's Front, MAER will support the "Fire of Memory" campaign, which unites Russian cities and foreign venues. The action takes place annually on the eve of Victory Day and starts at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Garden. This year, the flame will be handed over to more than 400 veterans in 71 regions of Russia. The project will cover over 200 settlements, as well as 14 countries around the world. The fire is delivered by representatives of the Popular Front, members of the "Putin's Team", public figures, military officers and volunteers.
"The Fire of Memory campaign has already become international and unites more and more people every year. And thanks to the support of the media and modern formats of street screens, we can convey its meaning faster and more accurately, especially to young people. This is not just a symbol, it is a living memory of a heroic deed, which today is becoming part of the common information space and unites society," said Sergey Gorbunov, Deputy head of the Executive Committee of the Popular Front.
Together with the Defenders of the Fatherland State Foundation, MAER is implementing a project dedicated to veterans of a special military operation, so that their stories will be known in all corners of the country. One of the heroes of the project was Alexander Knyazev from the Moscow region. In 2022, he went to the SVO zone as part of a motorized rifle unit. During a combat mission in the Kupyansk area, he was seriously wounded.
After treatment, he returned to active life: he participates in projects of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation, develops the veteran movement and is engaged in public activities.
"It is important that people see the faces of those who defend the country today. After being wounded, I returned to civilian life and try to help other veterans, because it is especially important for them to feel support, attention and to know that they are not alone," Alexander Knyazev shared.
Together with Izvestia International Exhibition Center, MAER will show the Parade in honor of the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, as well as the best footage of the May 9 parades from other regions of the country. They will be seen about 4 million times.
"Our task is to ensure that the memory of the feat remains a part of the daily lives of millions of people. Through modern solutions, we create a single space in which history becomes closer, clearer and more meaningful for everyone. This day unites the whole of Russia, all of us! We remember the exploits of our grandfathers, great-grandfathers! And we honor those who defend Russia today!" said Konstantin Mayor, owner and CEO of the MAER media holding.
