Komsomolskaya Pravda has prepared gifts for Muscovites for Victory Day

The good news for Komsomolskaya Pravda readers is that the editorial staff has traditionally prepared gifts for Victory Day. On May 8, the daily issue of Komsomolskaya Pravda will publish a historical reprint of the May 10, 1945 issue of the newspaper from the time of the end of the Great Patriotic War and the celebration of the first Victory Day. It should be recalled that during the Great Patriotic War, 38 visiting editorial offices of the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper worked on all fronts, and many journalists became war correspondents, among them Arkady Gaidar, Mikhail Rosenfeld, Lilia Karastoyanova and others. 16 of them died on the fronts, performing their official duties.

The newspaper published letters from the front and to the front, organized the campaign "Parcels for War", and was the first to tell about the exploits of Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya and the underground organization Molodaya Gvardiya.

For her work during the war years, Komsomolskaya Pravda was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the First Degree in 1945. And in 1950, the newspaper received the Order of the Red Banner of Labor for its participation in the reconstruction of the country destroyed by the war.
