The past and the present met in Moscow at the Rossiya National Center. On May 7, the historical play "Soldiers' Dreams", created on the basis of military chronicles, took place there.

The authors tried to show all the iconic episodes of the war — going to the front, trench life, battles, the joy of Victory, and, most importantly, what supports soldiers in this difficult time is their dreams.

"These are moments of silence when a soldier can visit his home. It's a dark night, you're resting, and you're imagining an image of your home. I'm always interested in coming up with a story through whose eyes I'll see the war. I really wanted there to be, most likely, three generations of fighters who left, journalists," said Evgeny Glazov, People's Artist of Russia, chief director of the historical play "Soldier's Dreams."

More than 500 artists are involved in the performance. There are many legendary names among them, and for some, what happens on stage is also a personal story.

"I enter this stage primarily as a resident of besieged Leningrad. These years are military, Ladoga, along which we sailed to the mainland, on a self—propelled barge, is for life," said Ilya Reznik, People's Artist of Russia.

Instead of decorations, there are authentic war newsreels and photographs. "Soldier's Dreams" is more than a performance. It is a revived memory that must be passed down from generation to generation.

The production begins with a symbolic scene of the capture of the Reichstag, on the steps of which Lidia Ruslanova sings the song "Valenki" in the chronicle, and Varvara sings along to her on stage from the 21st century, thus connecting the epochs. In one of the episodes, the Victory Banner is brought onto the stage, which a veteran of the Great Patriotic War (WWII) hands over to the Special Operations Forces (SVO).

Columnist Nikolai Nikulin reported on May 4 that the series "On the Trail of the Beast" will reveal new facts of military history. It was based on a real episode of the Great Patriotic War (WWII), and in order to show it as reliably as possible, the actors had to endure a lot of trials. A significant part of the filming took place not in the pavilions, but in real alleged circumstances. Snow was falling, and the December frosts were relentless, but the entire film crew worked as a single team. This is the only way a real military-patriotic movie can be shot.
