A large-scale forest fire in the Chernobyl exclusion zone was reported in Ukraine.
A large forest fire has been recorded in the Chernobyl exclusion zone in the Kiev region. This was announced on May 8 by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
"Due to strong gusts of wind, the fire is spreading rapidly through the territory, covering new areas of the forest. The estimated fire area is already more than 1,100 hectares," the department's Telegram channel says.
