A threat of attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has been announced in seven cities of Tatarstan, including Kazan and Bugulma. This was announced on May 8 in the application of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
"The threat of an attack by UAVs on the cities of Kazan, Zelenodolsk, Nizhnekamsk, Yelabuga, Naberezhnye Chelny, Bugulma, Almetyevsk," the Ministry of Emergency Situations cites TASS.
The ministry also called on citizens to take all necessary security measures.
On May 8, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense systems destroyed 264 unmanned aerial vehicles over the territory of Russia last night. According to the agency, drones were eliminated over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tula, Ulyanovsk, Yaroslavl regions and over the Republics of Crimea and Tatarstan, as well as over the Azov and Black Seas.
