Five people died in a major fire at the Plaza Fiestas Las Palmas shopping center in Los Mochis, Sinaloa State, Mexico. This was reported on May 7 by the N+ agency.
"A call to the 911 service was received at about 14:00 local time (01:00 Moscow time the next day), merchants and shoppers reported that the store in the mall was engulfed in flames," the publication says.
According to the agency, during the liquidation of the fire, employees of the Red Cross and the municipal ambulance service provided assistance to more than ten people with signs of smoke poisoning. Later, the number of injured increased to 30 people.
It is specified that the cause of the fire will be determined in the near future.
The Yonhap news agency reported on March 20 that more than 50 people were injured and 14 more were missing as a result of a fire at an auto parts factory in Daejeon, South Korea.According to the agency, 24 workers were seriously injured, and many inhaled carbon monoxide.
