Central Military District servicemen held a personal parade for a WWII veteran in Samara

Military personnel of the motorized rifle unit of the Central Military District (CVO) held a personal parade for a member of the partisan movement, aviation technician, retired senior Lieutenant Vladislav Filatovich Booth in Samara. This was announced on May 8 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

A solemn event was held in front of the veteran's house on the eve of Victory Day celebrations. The mini-parade was attended by soldiers of the honor guard company, the military commandant's office, as well as the military band of the motorized rifle unit of the Central Military District.

The parade crew marched in front of the veteran. The military orchestra performed works of the war years, including the song "Victory Day".

"It's beautiful, very good. Thank you!" said Vladislav Filatovich.

At the request of Vladislav Bout, the servicemen also played Bulat Okudzhava's song "We Need one Victory" from the movie "Belorussky Railway Station". The veteran sang along with the musicians during the performance of the composition. The servicemen congratulated Vladislav Filatovich on the anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII) and expressed gratitude for his contribution to the defense of the Fatherland.

"Dad is 95, Mom is 94. She followed him through all the garrisons, through all the military towns," said Natalia Vladislavovna Sazonov, the daughter of a WWII veteran.

Vladislav Bout was born on January 1, 1931. During the Great Patriotic War, he participated in the resistance against the Nazi invaders in the occupied territory as part of a partisan detachment. After the war, he graduated from military school and served in the Air Force as an aircraft technician. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War II degree.

As participants of the Victory Day Parade on May 9, the great-grandchildren of the 1945 victors are defending Russia on the same frontiers where their ancestors once fought.

On May 6, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that with a solemn march, vocal performances and gifts, the military personnel of the Barnaul Rocket Compound congratulated the participants of the Second World War and home front workers on the upcoming Victory Day. Among the recipients of congratulations are Peter Egorovich Panteleev, Valentina Grigorievna Izhak and Alexander Alexandrovich Witman. To the accompaniment of a brass band, servicemen of the rocket forces in full-dress uniforms carried copies of the Red Army's front-line banners in front of veterans' homes.
