On May 7, US President Donald Trump announced that he had had a telephone conversation with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, in which a number of topics were touched upon. Ukraine was not mentioned among them.
"I had a wonderful conversation with <...> von der Leyen. We discussed many topics, including the fact that we are completely united in our opinion that Iran will never be able to possess nuclear weapons," he wrote on the Truth Social network.
