Sobyanin announced the destruction of 57 UAVs that had already flown to Moscow.
Air defense systems repelled the attack of two more unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) flying to Moscow, thus, their number increased to 57. This was announced on May 7 by the mayor of the city, Sergei Sobyanin.
"The attack of two drones was repelled by the Defense Ministry's air defense," he said in a message on the Maks messenger.
It is specified that representatives of emergency services are currently involved at the crash site of the wreckage of the liquidated vehicles.
On the same day, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported the destruction of 127 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in four hours over the territory of Russia. The operation to identify them was carried out from 08:00 Moscow time to 12:00 Moscow time. So, during the designated time, the UAV was destroyed in the skies over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Vladimir, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Orel, Perm, Ryazan, Smolensk and Tula regions. Drones were also intercepted over the Moscow region, Adygea and Udmurtia.
