Ticks that live in Russia are capable, in addition to encephalitis, of carrying viruses such as Badges nayrovarus, Mukava and Nuomin, also known as Lesnoe. This was announced on May 7 by representatives of Rospotrebnadzor.
"In the north-west of the Russian Federation, in addition to the tick—borne encephalitis virus, viruses such as Badges nayrovarus and Mukava have been identified, which were previously isolated from human blood sera in China and Japan," they said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
