Russians are advised to be wary of online advertisements for high-paying jobs in the Kingdom of Thailand. This was announced on May 7 on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"The Russian Foreign Ministry once again urges Russian citizens to be wary of information on the Internet regarding the recruitment of employees for high—paying positions <...> in Thailand," the statement said.

The agency added that most often in such cases, the applicant responds to a vacancy not from employers, but from transnational criminal communities. The customers of such advertising, as a rule, promise to employ a trusted person allegedly in the field of translation, tourism, business administration and modeling.

Two days earlier, the Russian Embassy in Thailand announced the release of two Russian citizens from fraudulent call centers in Myanmar. The women were transferred for subsequent repatriation to Russia.

On the same day, information appeared that fraudsters luring foreigners to Thai scam centers promised them a salary of $5,000. Those who responded could easily be resold or involved in even more dangerous schemes.
