A cultural program dedicated to Victory Day will be held in Moscow.

The events will take place in the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve, Vorontsovo Manor, Izmailovsky Park, Bauman Garden, Mitino Landscape Park, Sokolniki and 50th Anniversary of October parks, as well as in the Moscow State Defense Museum, the Battle of Borodino Panorama Museum, and the Moskino Film Park and at other venues.

More than 200 cultural venues of the capital have prepared events for Victory Day. Those who wish can attend concerts, performances, excursions, exhibitions, lectures, film screenings and much more. This was announced by Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.

"The program in honor of the 81st anniversary of the Victory will be launched in every district of the city. Muscovites and tourists are invited to parks, museums, theaters, children's art schools and libraries throughout the capital," Sergunina said.

Concerts on May 9 will be available at the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve, Vorontsovo Manor, 50th Anniversary of October Park, Izmailovsky Park, Bauman Garden, Mitino Landscape Park and other venues.

On the same day, performances by creative teams and a performance of the play "A Tale of Epic about Ilya Muromets" are planned in Sokolniki Park. And in the evening, the Moscow Jazz Orchestra conducted by Igor Butman will take the stage.

The State Museum of Defense of Moscow organizes a sightseeing tour "The Great Feat of the Defenders of Moscow", the play "Spring-45. We remember" and the screenings of cartoons about the Great Patriotic War. At the master classes, young guests will learn about the first heroes of the Soviet Union, awarded the Gold Star medal, and make models of the Russian I-15 fighter.

A lecture at the Battle of Borodino Panorama Museum will tell about the peculiarities of the uniforms of Red Army soldiers in different years, and at the Nuremberg 80th Anniversary of the History Lesson exhibition they will be offered to view reportage drawings by war correspondent Nikolai Zhukov.

On Victory Day, 10 cinemas of the Moskino chain will be able to watch films in which veterans of the Great Patriotic War took part. The list of films includes "They fought for their Homeland", "The Fate of Man", "Soldiers" and "Belorussky Railway Station".

A thematic program was also prepared at the Moskino Film Park. Interactive events, quests, and workshops of the school of aircraft designers will be held here from May 9 to 11. Those interested will be invited to join waltzes and quadrilles with dancers in costumes from the 1940s and listen to performances by musical groups and a brass band.

During the holidays, the theaters of the capital will present productions dedicated to the heroism of the Soviet people. They are based on the stories of people whose youth fell on the period from 1941 to 1945, as well as the novels "And the dawns here are quiet ..." by Boris Vasiliev and "Son of the Regiment" by Valentin Kataev, the poem "Vasily Terkin" by Alexander Tvardovsky and other works.

Poems and songs about the Great Patriotic War will be performed on May 8 at the Moskvich Cultural Center and the Alexander Green Central Youth Library No. 122.

The next day, the Inspiration Cultural Center will host a screening of the 1947 film "The Scout's Feat", and on May 12, the Meridian Cultural Center will host a concert "The Saved World Remembers".

Several expositions were prepared on the boulevards of the city at once for the 81st anniversary of the Victory. Thus, the exhibition on Arbat Street was dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of Marshals of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov and Konstantin Rokossovsky, on Chistoprudny Boulevard to performances at the front by artists and artists, and on Rozhdestvensky Boulevard to the stories of adult and young heroes of our country.
