A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The North group of troops improved the tactical situation and defeated formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in a number of settlements in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy lost more than 230 people, 12 vehicles, two artillery pieces and an electronic warfare station.

The western group of troops has taken more advantageous positions and frontiers. The Ukrainian formations in the DPR were defeated. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 190 soldiers, an armored combat vehicle, 25 vehicles, an artillery piece, an electronic warfare station and a counter-battery warfare station.

The soldiers of the southern group of forces improved their position along the front line and hit the enemy in the areas of the DPR settlements. The enemy lost more than 160 militants, two armored combat vehicles, 17 vehicles, four field artillery guns, an electronic warfare station and a counter-battery warfare station.

Units of the Center group of forces occupied more advantageous positions and frontiers, and also hit Ukrainian formations in the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to over 280 people, three armored combat vehicles, and seven vehicles. Three field artillery guns and an electronic warfare station were destroyed.

The Vostok group of troops continued to move into the depth of the enemy's defenses. Ukrainian Armed Forces units were defeated in a number of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The enemy lost more than 320 soldiers, an armored personnel carrier, eight vehicles and a 155 mm M777 howitzer made in the USA.

Fighters of the Dnepr group of forces defeated formations of three mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in areas of populated areas of the Zaporizhia region. Up to 30 Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters, three armored combat vehicles, 15 vehicles, two electronic warfare stations and a counter-battery warfare station were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated transport infrastructure facilities used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, launch sites for aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 153 areas.

Air defense systems shot down three guided aerial bombs, four US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 570 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

The units maintain drones and ground-based robots near the line of combat contact.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 143,422 unmanned aerial vehicles, 659 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29,200 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,716 multiple rocket launchers, 34,812 field artillery guns and mortars, 61029 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
