After the May holidays, it is difficult for many employees to quickly return to a working rhythm due to regime changes and accumulated fatigue. Olga Klimenkova, a leading specialist in the CHINT HR department, told Izvestia on May 10 about how it is easier to adapt after a long weekend.

"The main mistake is to demand instant productivity from yourself," she said.

According to the expert, during the holidays, people's sleep schedules and daily routines change, so on the first working day, a person may feel tired even before starting work.

Klimenkova recommended that if possible, keep the usual routine even on weekends and avoid sudden changes in sleep time. The specialist emphasized that after a rest, you should not immediately try to close all the accumulated tasks and answer all the letters.

"The main advice is to try to distribute the workload and schedule tasks in the calendar on the eve of the holidays so that the first day after the weekend passes without fuss," she explained.

The expert called the overload of the first working day with meetings another common mistake. According to her, many employees are not ready for active discussions and work pace after the holidays.

Klimenkova noted that informal communication with colleagues and gradual inclusion in work processes help to return to work more easily. In her opinion, the position of the employer also plays an important role. Flexible working hours, remote work formats, and attention to employee well-being help reduce stress after long weekends.

"Most people need time to get back into a working rhythm after a long weekend. This is normal and does not indicate a low motivation of the staff," the expert concluded.

Psychologist Olga Romaniv told on May 6 how to protect herself from bullying in the team. According to her, bullying in a team is usually not related to a person's personal qualities, but points to an unhealthy corporate environment where boundaries are violated and aggression becomes the norm. She noted that mobbing develops gradually — from inappropriate jokes and ignoring ideas to pressure and shifting responsibilities, which causes a person to doubt himself.
