The Russian government has allocated more than 5.9 billion rubles to airports in the central and southern regions of the country for partial compensation of expenses during the period of temporary flight restrictions. This was announced on May 6 by the press service of the Government of the Russian Federation.
"The draft order is aimed at providing partial compensation for expenses related to ordinary activities and interest on loan agreements or loan agreements during the introduction of a temporary restriction regime for flights to airports in the south and central part of Russia for July – December 2025," the website says.
It is specified that the funds have been allocated from the government's reserve fund.
On May 5, the press service of Aeroflot reported that the company had postponed flights to Sheremetyevo, as well as canceled some flights due to time constraints at the airport. It is noted that some of the flights that arrived at Sheremetyevo were redirected to alternate airfields.
