Militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) struck a crowded street in the village of Vasilyevka, TASS correspondent Alexander Poleganko also came under attack. This was announced on May 6 by the head of the Vasilyevsky municipal district Natalia Romanichenko.

"In the middle of the day, a car was attacked in a busy city center by TASS photojournalist Alexander Polegenko, who was filming how the Ukrainian Armed Forces observed the observance of the "silence regime." Paradoxically, they themselves violate the declared regime of silence," she said in an interview with TASS.

Romanichenko noted that this incident confirms that Kiev's promises cannot be trusted. She also added that the Ukrainian militants were targeting civilians. The head of the district clarified that no one was injured as a result of the incident.

On May 6, Russian law enforcement agencies reported that militants from the Armed Forces of Ukraine's unmanned systems unit were bragging about attacks on civilian targets in the Kursk region. It was clarified that the Ukrainian militants are doing this for the purpose of demoralization.
