Zakharova: in case of Kiev's aggression on May 9, the Russian Armed Forces will strike at decision-making centers

The EU countries are mistaken if they believe that they will be able to silence the public threats of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to attack Moscow on May 9, during the celebration of Victory Day. This was announced on May 6 by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova.

If the EU countries think that they will be able to silence publicly voiced threats, as they say, to sweep Zelensky's aggressive statements under the carpet, then they are sorely mistaken," she said in a comment posted on the Telegram channel of the Foreign Ministry.

Zakharova added that Western states are consistently dismantling Soviet memorials, exhuming the remains of Soviet soldiers and distorting historical facts. She noted that Moscow considers arms supplies to Ukraine from Western partners as direct support for the actions of the Kiev authorities.

The Russian Foreign Ministry also stressed that Russia does not take an aggressive position. Moscow considers its actions solely as a response to possible threats from Ukraine.
