The countries of the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom are at risk of facing a serious food crisis due to their Russophobic stance. This was announced on May 6 by Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries.

"The EU and the UK will face a serious agricultural crisis due to their Russophobic position," he stated on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Dmitriev drew attention to the fact that the United States, meanwhile, had made a reasonable decision to increase imports of Russian fertilizers to the highest level in its history. This decision, as the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund added, allows representatives of the American agro-industrial complex (AIC) and their customers to benefit while the European union and London are suffering.

The German newspaper Berliner Zeitung said on April 27 that Berlin should strive to start a dialogue with Russia, in particular, with its president Vladimir Putin. On the same day, the Russian leader pointed out Moscow's desire for dialogue with constructive political forces in the world. This connection, as he stressed, should be a fruitful cooperation.

Three days later, the head of the European Diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, opposed the EU's return to normal business with Russia. On May 1, journalist Eduard Novikov told Izvestia about a rally of thousands in France. Then those who took to the streets expressed dissatisfaction with the "political games" of their government.
