In China, a tourist survived after falling from a 200-meter-high cliff by clinging to a tree. This was announced on May 6 by the British portal Need to Know.

"On April 26, a 26-year-old man was walking along a non-tourist mountaineering trail with friends when he accidentally fell down. Fortunately, after falling from a height of about 6-7 m, he stayed on the branches of trees...> at the risk of slipping into the 200-meter Gongyi Gorge," the publication says.

The authors of the material added that members of the Blue Sky Gongyi rescue team were training nearby, who, upon receiving a message about the incident, immediately went to the tourists. The man was first attached to a tree with cables so that he would not fall off. Then they moved him onto a stretcher and lowered him from the cliff on ropes. It is reported that the tourist suffered multiple fractures, as well as injuries to his eyes, face and lower back.

The newspaper Le Monde reported on April 26 that French climbers Mateo Jacmoud and Samuel Equi set a new record for climbing Mont Blanc. They reached the top in about 3 hours and 41 minutes, and the descent took about an hour. It usually takes two days for experienced climbers to make such an ascent.
