The encyclopedia "Ruviki" has created a visual "Victory Line" by May 9th
By May 9, the Ruviki Internet Encyclopedia is launching the Victory Line project, which is an interactive map of the Great Patriotic War. This was reported in the press service of the platform.
The service allows users to track changes in the front line and study detailed patterns of individual battles. Cartographic data is integrated with encyclopedic articles on key military leaders and details of military operations. All project materials, including visualization of maneuvers, are subject to mandatory expertise at the Russian Academy of Sciences.
At the start of the project, seven key stages of the war were reflected in the Victory Line. These include defensive and offensive operations in the Battle of Moscow and the Battle of Stalingrad, the breaking of the siege of Leningrad and the Berlin Offensive. The developers plan to systematically supplement the map with new battle data.
At the same time, Ruviki is developing the initiative "Our heroes are our history!" This is an open library, which contains biographies and descriptions of the exploits of the Heroes of the Soviet Union, the Heroes of the Russian Federation and Labor. Users can independently supplement the database with data about veterans and heroes of their families.
